日本刀的歷史已逾千年，它曾作為戰場上令人聞風喪膽的武器，如今到了現代成為一件件精雕細琢的工藝品。你是否曾好奇一把日本刀究竟如何誕生？
四大主題，四天限定，一次看盡日本刀的美學、工藝與武術之美。
📌展覽：9/25(五)~9/28(一) 10:00-17:00（第一天為早上10:30開始），地點在中7B館
展覽匯集橫跨六百年的古刀，與國寶刀匠吉原國家的現代刀作，透過日台職人的鍛造、研磨、柄卷工藝，展現一把日本刀背後的職人精神與工藝美學。
📌電影與映後座談：9/25(五)~9/28(一) 13:00-15:00（每日一個場次），地點在華山光點電影院
電影放映《日本刀ソ美》，講述殺陣新人大塚優希因演技缺乏真刀質感，向研磨師、刀匠等職人請益，體悟日本刀是千年傳承的文化，並立志傳承這份美。
講座首日邀請日本刀學者Paul Martin分享新書《日本刀與甲冑》，深入淺出解讀日本刀文化，會後舉辦簽書會；第二天由吉原義人弟子陳江榮老師親自分享日本刀的鍛造工藝；第三天由研武堂王誠揚老師分享日本刀研磨的工藝與文化。「鍛• 磨 • 魂」三個講座將帶領觀眾進而認識日本刀的匠人精神。

簡介：台北武道會教授合氣道與古武道 柳心照智流，柳心照智流源自鹿島與香取神宮的居合快拔劍術，以獨特圓形的運動，運用丹田與身體陰陽演繹高速居合劍技。

簡介：山道場教授弓道，以射審固觀德——射姿、弓具使用與應對進退，映照射手的個性、修養與價值觀，並期望每位射手保持謙讓的心，修心稽古自省。

簡介：日本拔刀道連盟致力於傳承日本拔刀道的技法與武道精神，重視真劍運用、禮法與身心修養，透過真劍試斬，培養正確刀法與對日本刀的敬畏之心。

The exhibition will be held from September 25 (Friday) to September 28 (Monday), from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
Venue: Hualien Cultural and Creative Industries Park, Hall 7B, Hualien Cinema, and the Arch Hall on the 2nd floor of Hall 3.

The history of the Japanese sword spans over a millennium. Once a fearsome weapon on the battlefield, it has now become a meticulously crafted work of art. Have you ever wondered how a Japanese sword is truly made?
Experience the aesthetics, craftsmanship, and martial spirit of the Japanese sword in four days, featuring four major themes.
**Exhibition:** September 25 (Friday) to September 28 (Monday), 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM (first day starts at 10:30 AM), held in Hall 7B.
The exhibition showcases ancient swords spanning six centuries, alongside modern works by the national treasure swordsmith Yoshigihara. Through the forging, polishing, and handle-wrapping techniques of Japanese and Taiwanese craftsmen, the exhibition highlights the spirit of craftsmanship and the aesthetic beauty behind each Japanese sword.
**Film Screening and Post-screening Discussion:** September 25 (Friday) to September 28 (Monday), 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM (one session per day), held in the Hualien Cinema.
The film "The Beauty of the Japanese Sword" tells the story of actor Yuki Niida, who, lacking the authentic feel of swords in his acting, sought guidance from sword polishers and swordsmiths. Through this journey, he realized the Japanese sword is a cultural heritage passed down for a thousand years and resolved to carry forward its beauty.
On the first day, Professor Paul Martin, a scholar of Japanese swords, will share insights from his new book "Japanese Swords and Armor," providing an accessible interpretation of Japanese sword culture, followed by a book signing session. On the second day, Professor Chen Jiangrong, a disciple of Yoshigihara, will personally discuss the forging techniques of Japanese swords. On the third day, Professor Wang Chengyang from Yanwu Hall will share the art and culture of sword polishing. The lecture series "Forging, Polishing, and the Soul" will guide the audience in understanding the spirit of craftsmanship behind the Japanese sword.
**Samurai Martial Arts Experiential Classes:** September 26 (Saturday) to September 28 (Monday), with specific timings to be announced separately. All sessions will be held in the Arch Hall on the 2nd floor of Hall 3.
**September 26 (Saturday):**
- Taipei Martial Arts Association: Ancient Martial Arts Demonstration (Free), 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM
- Taipei Martial Arts Association: Ancient Martial Arts Experiential Class (Paid), 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM
Introduction: The Taipei Martial Arts Association teaches Aikido and ancient martial arts, including the Ryūshin Shichirō-ryū style. This style originates from the Iaijutsu sword-drawing techniques of the Kashima and Katori shrines, emphasizing unique circular movements and the use of the lower abdomen and the balance of yin and yang to demonstrate high-speed sword techniques.
**September 27 (Sunday):**
- Yamada Dojo: Modern Kyudo Demonstration (Free), 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM
- Yamada Dojo: Modern Kyudo Experiential Class (Paid), 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM
