Participants registering for the advanced session are advised to also register for the introductory session.
Supporting students is not solely the responsibility of professionals. By gaining a deeper understanding of mental health, we can better comprehend the pressures underlying students' behaviors and find an appropriate balance between care and maintaining professional boundaries.
This workshop will focus on the perspectives of safety, trust, and respect. It will guide faculty and staff in identifying potential trauma responses in students and understanding how to respond to and support their emotional and psychological needs, thereby reducing the risk of re-traumatization and conflicts. Additionally, it will assist teachers in managing their own emotions, relieving stress, and maintaining appropriate boundaries, ensuring that the campus becomes a place where everyone can support each other.
