「人類世」(The Anthropocene) 不僅是一個地質學術語，更是當代文明最深刻的自我審視。隨著人類活動成為改變地球生態的主導力量，科學界、人文學界與政經領域對此展開了激烈的辯論。
本講座將帶領聽眾穿梭於不同的學術陣營，探討以下核心爭議：
起始點之爭： 究竟是從 18 世紀的工業革命、1950 年代的核試驗大加速，還是更早的農業文明開始？
責任歸屬： 是全人類的責任，還是少數工業強權的遺緒？（探討「資本世」Capitalocene 或「殖民世」之說）。
定名意義： 這是一個正式的地質年代標記，還是一個推動環境政治改革的修辭符號？
未來路徑： 面對環境臨界點，我們應訴諸高科技干預（地球工程），還是徹底轉向生態中心主義？

“The Anthropocene” is not merely a geological term; it represents one of the most profound forms of self-reflection in contemporary civilization. As human activity has become the dominant force shaping Earth is ecosystems, intense debates have emerged across the scientific community, the humanities, and the socio-political and economic spheres.
This lecture will guide participants through different academic perspectives and explore the following key controversies:
The question of its beginning: Should it be traced back to the 18th-century Industrial Revolution, the “Great Acceleration” of nuclear testing in the 1950s, or even earlier agricultural civilizations?
Attribution of responsibility: Does responsibility lie with humanity as a whole, or with a small number of industrial powers? (Including discussions on the “Capitalocene” and “Colonialocene.”)
The meaning of its designation: Is it a formal geological epoch, or a rhetorical construct aimed at advancing environmental political reform?
Future pathways: In the face of ecological tipping points, should we rely on high-tech interventions (geoengineering), or shift fundamentally toward ecocentrism?
