一、旨揭簡章已公布於教育部網站（www.edu.tw）之即時新聞（115年6月30日）及教育部國際及兩岸教育司首頁（業務專區―海外留學―公費留學與各項獎學金專區―公費留學考試資訊）。
二、為配合國家發展需求，鼓勵學生赴國外知名大學攻讀五大信賴產業相關領域之博士學位，115年公費留學考試，於五大信賴產業學門試辦「先書面審查後面試」考試方式；相關學門包括電資學群「人工智慧、資通訊技術與應用、網路通訊、資通訊安全、新興半導體」等5個學門提供40個名額；工程學群「材料科技、先進製造技術、能源工程、核子工程、造船工程、航太工程、飛行器定位與導控」等7個學門提供21個名額，共計提供61個錄取名額。另提高五大信賴產業學門錄取生學費及生活費補助額度，學費採總額上限，由現行3年9萬美元調增至12萬美元；生活費依留學所在國家/地區不同，最高調增至每年2萬8,000美元，且錄取後限攻讀世界百大或各專業領域世界排名前20名之國外大學校院。
三、115年公費留學考試非五大信賴產業學門仍維持現行之「先筆試後面試」之考試方式，學費補助額度暫維持以往規定，但年支生活費額度則一併調整，依留學所在國家/地區不同，最高調增至每年2萬8,000美元。
四、考量試辦書審之規定與筆試規定不同，為明確起見，爰115年公費留考區分2類簡章，1類為五大信賴產業學門（先書面審查後面試），1類為非五大信賴產業學門（先筆試後面試），其錄取名額分別如下：
(一)五大信賴產業學門：一般生61名、勵學優秀生4名、原住民生8名及身心障礙生4名。
(二)非五大信賴產業學門：一般生90名、勵學優秀生6名、原住民生12名、身心障礙生6名及赴新南向國家生10名。
五、115年公費留考預定錄取名額總計為201名，有關報名日期、筆試、書面審查及面試日期及公告錄取日期等資訊如下：
(一)網路報名日期：115年7月15日上午8時至115年7月31日下午5時止。
(二)非五大信賴產業學門之筆試日期：115年10月3日。
(三)五大信賴產業學門之書面審查時程：115年9月下旬至10月上旬。
(四)面試日期：115年12月5日及6日。
(五)公告錄取日期：115年12月31日。
六、本項考試考生需親自出席筆試及面試，不提供視訊面試，請有意報考者預先規劃行程。
1.The application guidelines have been published on the Ministry of Education (MOE) website under the latest news section (June 30, 2026) and on the homepage of the Department of International and Cross-Strait Education under Business Areas → Overseas Study → Government Scholarship and Other Scholarship Programs → Government Scholarship Examination Information.
2.To support Taiwan is national development priorities and encourage students to pursue doctoral degrees in strategic industries at internationally renowned universities, the 2026 Government Scholarship for Overseas Study Examination introduces a pilot admission process of "document review followed by an interview" for the Five Trusted Industries disciplines. These include:
-Electrical Engineering and Information Technology: Artificial Intelligence, Information and Communication Technology (ICT) and Applications, Network Communications, Cybersecurity, and Emerging Semiconductors (40 admission quotas).
-Engineering: Materials Technology, Advanced Manufacturing Technology, Energy Engineering, Nuclear Engineering, Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, and Aircraft Navigation and Control (21 admission quotas).
A total of 61 admission quotas are available for these disciplines.
In addition, financial support has been significantly increased for successful applicants in the Five Trusted Industries disciplines:
-Tuition subsidy: Increased from the current maximum of USD 90,000 over three years to USD 120,000 in total.
Annual living allowance: Increased according to the destination country or region, with a maximum of USD 28,000 per year.
-Award recipients under this category are required to enroll in either a Top 100 university worldwide or a university ranked among the top 20 globally in their respective academic field.
3.For disciplines outside the Five Trusted Industries, the examination format remains unchanged, following the current written examination followed by an interview process. The tuition subsidy remains under the existing regulations, while the annual living allowance has also been increased according to the destination country or region, with a maximum of USD 28,000 per year.
4.As the pilot document review process differs from the traditional written examination, the MOE has issued two separate application guidelines for the 2026 Government Scholarship Examination:
-Five Trusted Industries Disciplines (Document Review → Interview)
General Applicants: 61
Outstanding Economically Disadvantaged Students: 4
Indigenous Students: 8
Students with Disabilities: 4
-Non–Five Trusted Industries Disciplines (Written Examination → Interview)
General Applicants: 90
Outstanding Economically Disadvantaged Students: 6
Indigenous Students: 12
Students with Disabilities: 6
Students Studying in New Southbound Policy Countries: 10
5.The total number of scholarships available under the 2026 Government Scholarship for Overseas Study Examination is 201. The key dates are as follows:
-Online Application Period: July 15, 2026 (8:00 a.m.) – July 31, 2026 (5:00 p.m.)
-Written Examination (Non–Five Trusted Industries): October 3, 2026
Document Review (Five Trusted Industries): Late September to Early October 2026
-Interview: December 5–6, 2026
-Announcement of Results: December 31, 2026
6.Applicants are required to attend the written examination (where applicable) and the interview in person. Online or virtual interviews will not be provided. Prospective applicants are advised to make travel arrangements well in advance. |
