一、本校城市科學實驗室與麻省理工學院（MIT）合作推動學生科學研習計畫（Undergraduate Research Opportunity Program, UROP），提供學生參與前沿研究之機會，透過跨領域學習與實作，培養創新思維及研究能力。
二、參與本計畫表現優異之學生，未來將有機會申請赴麻省理工學院（MIT）短期交流學習，另設有清寒學生獎助學金可供申請。
三、本計畫相關資訊如下：
(一)適用對象：全國大專院校在學學生，不限科系、學校及國籍（鼓勵學生跨領域、跨學院參加）。
(二)報名期間：2026年5月1日至5月31日中午12時止。
(三)計畫期間：2026年7月1日至8月31日。
(四)報名方式：線上報名(附件簡章內有報名網址)
(五)面試日期：2026年6月8日至6月12日。
(六)錄取通知：2026年6月17日前公布錄取名單，請密切留意電子郵件。若未錄取，則不另行通知。

**Announcement: Undergraduate Research Opportunity Program (UROP) Collaboration between Tzu Chi University Urban Science Laboratory and MIT**
The Urban Science Laboratory at Tzu Chi University is pleased to announce its collaboration with the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) in launching the Undergraduate Research Opportunity Program (UROP). This initiative aims to provide students with opportunities to engage in cutting-edge research, fostering innovative thinking and research skills through interdisciplinary learning and practical experience.
Students who demonstrate outstanding performance in this program will have the opportunity to apply for short-term exchange programs at MIT in the future. Additionally, scholarships are available for students from financially disadvantaged backgrounds.
For more information about the program, please refer to the following details:
1. **Eligibility**: Open to all undergraduate students from universities and colleges across Taiwan, regardless of department, institution, or nationality. We encourage students to participate across disciplines and colleges.
2. **Application Period**: From May 1, 2026, to May 31, 2026, at 12:00 PM.
3. **Program Duration**: From July 1, 2026, to August 31, 2026.
4. **Application Method**: Online application (application URL is provided in the attached guidelines).
5. **Interview Dates**: From June 8, 2026, to June 12, 2026.
6. **Admission Notification**: The list of admitted students will be published by June 17, 2026. Please keep a close watch on your email for updates. If you are not admitted, you will not receive a separate notification.
