Taroko National Park is a beloved destination for many visitors. Regardless of the time or circumstances in which one visits Taroko, its natural scenery and cultural heritage always provide a unique and profound experience, serving as inspiration for literary writing and creation. "Our Taroko" is, in essence, each individual's Taroko, and every person's Taroko is unique.
In the vast timeline of geology, 40 years is but a fleeting moment; however, for an individual, these 40 years encompass a significant portion of their life, filled with countless stories like stars in the sky. The mountains and forests have always been there, and it is because of the collective efforts of many people to protect them that we, in our small ways, can safely approach this grandeur and create memories together with the mountains.
This project invites the public to submit short essays and images on the theme of "My Taroko." Through the perspectives and personal accounts of participants, we aim to document unique experiences and insights within Taroko. We invite those who care deeply for this land to gather precious fragments of memory, which will be compiled into a shared Taroko landscape. Selected works will be published in print, e-books, and special exhibitions, guiding everyone to appreciate the diverse aspects of Taroko.
