一、為協助消弭城鄉教育落差以及照顧偏鄉弱勢學生之受教權益，本計畫旨在提供全國偏遠地區國小學生課後加強英語能力的環境及線上陪伴，以每週固定時間、3人1小組視訊的方式與大學端之英語學伴進行交流。擔任英語學伴可體認到偏鄉學童的學習困境，增進同理心，並獲得寶貴的偏鄉遠距教學服務經驗與教學鐘點費。

**Announcement: English Buddy Program for Remote Elementary School Students**
To help bridge the urban-rural education gap and support the educational rights of disadvantaged students in remote areas, this program aims to provide elementary school students in remote regions across Taiwan with an after-school environment to enhance their English proficiency and online companionship. Through a structured weekly schedule, students will be grouped in teams of three and participate in video calls with university-level English buddies for regular interaction. Serving as an English buddy will allow participants to gain insight into the learning challenges faced by students in remote areas, foster empathy, and acquire valuable experience in remote teaching, as well as receive teaching stipends.
The upcoming program briefing session will introduce the program is objectives, details regarding remote English teaching, and include testimonials from current English buddies sharing their teaching experiences and stories.
