一、部分有機溶劑屬過氧化物生成化學品（Peroxide Forming Chemicals, PFCs），如長期儲存或暴露於空氣及光照環境下，可能自發氧化產生高危險性過氧化物，於搬動、開啟或清理時可能引發火災或爆炸事故。
二、近年國內外曾發生因老舊溶劑生成過氧化物而造成實驗室爆炸與人員傷亡案例，顯示化學品即使未使用仍具有潛在風險。
三、為維護本校實驗室作業安全，請各實驗室確實落實下列化學品管理及安全防護措施：
（一）化學品儲存與管理
1.定期盤點實驗室化學品庫存及使用狀況。
2.化學品容器須清楚標示名稱、危害資訊及開封日期。
3.易燃性、氧化性及不相容化學品應分類分區存放。
4.化學品應置於陰涼、通風良好且遠離火源及日照處。
（二）過氧化物生成化學品注意事項
1.可能形成過氧化物之溶劑應建立保存期限管理制度。
2.定期檢視化學品外觀是否出現下列情形：
•液體混濁或變色
•白色結晶或沉澱
•異常氣味
•容器膨脹或壓力異常
3.若出現上述情形：
•禁止開啟、移動或傾倒容器
•立即通報實驗室負責教師及管理人員處理。
（三）實驗室日常安全要求
1.進行實驗操作應配戴適當個人防護具（PPE）。
2.禁止於實驗室飲食或存放食品。
3.保持逃生動線與消防設備暢通。
4.離開實驗室前應確實關閉水、電及氣源。
（四）異常通報機制
發現下列情形應立即通報：
1.老舊或不明來源化學品
2.化學品變質或洩漏
3.設備異常或安全疑慮
通報對象：
1.實驗室負責教師
2.系所管理單位
3.警衛室或環安中心
Description
1.Certain organic solvents are classified as Peroxide Forming Chemicals (PFCs). During long-term storage or exposure to air and light, these chemicals may undergo spontaneous oxidation and form highly hazardous peroxides, which may lead to fire or explosion during handling, opening, or disposal.
2.In recent years, laboratory accidents worldwide have occurred due to peroxide accumulation in aged solvents, resulting in serious injuries and fatalities. These incidents demonstrate that chemicals may remain hazardous even when not actively used.
3.To ensure laboratory operational safety, all laboratories are requested to implement the following chemical management and safety control measures.
(I) Chemical Storage and Management
1.Conduct regular inventory inspections of laboratory chemicals and usage status.
2.All chemical containers must be clearly labeled with chemical name, hazard information, and opening date.
3.Flammable, oxidizing, and incompatible chemicals must be stored separately according to compatibility requirements.
4.Chemicals shall be stored in cool, well-ventilated locations away from ignition sources and direct sunlight.
(II) Precautions for Peroxide Forming Chemicals
1.Establish storage lifetime control for peroxide-forming solvents.
2.Regularly inspect chemicals for the following abnormal conditions:
oCloudiness or discoloration
oWhite crystals or precipitates
oUnusual odor
oContainer swelling or pressure buildup
3.If any of the above conditions are observed:
oDo NOT open, move, or pour the container
oImmediately notify the laboratory supervisor and responsible personnel.
(III) General Laboratory Safety Requirements
1.Appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) must be worn during laboratory operations.
2.Eating, drinking, or storing food in laboratories is strictly prohibited.
3.Emergency exits and firefighting equipment must remain unobstructed.
4.Ensure water, electricity, and gas supplies are shut off before leaving the laboratory.
(IV) Abnormal Condition Reporting
The following situations must be reported immediately:
1.Aged or unidentified chemicals
2.Chemical deterioration or leakage
3.Equipment malfunction or safety concerns

•Department Administration Office
•Security Office or Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Center
