國立臺灣科技大學 EMI 教學資源中心與國立臺北科技大學雙語化學習推動中心共同辦理「ESP專業英文師資增能認證課程」，敬邀各校 ESP 或 EMI 教師踴躍報名參訓，並請各單位惠予公假並依校內相關規範核予研習獎勵。
一、為協助各校銜接 EMI 課程，建議於大一開設 ESP（English for Special Purposes，專業領域英文）課程，結合校內英語教學單位與各學院專業需求，強化學生專業英語能力，奠定修讀 EMI 課程之語言基礎。
二、國立臺灣科技大學 EMI 教學資源中心與國立臺北科技大學合作辦理本次課程，結合 國際學術資源與專業英文課程建構經驗，透過 ESP 與 EMI 雙軌並進，協助教師精進雙語教學能力。課程資訊如下：
1️⃣ 課程時間：115年4月11日－5月23日（共24小時）
2️⃣ 辦理方式：混成式課程（線上＋實體）
3️⃣ 辦理地點：Google Meet 及國立臺北科技大學（實體成果分享）
4️⃣ 課程講師：國立臺北科技大學應用英文系教師與 Fulbright 英語教學顧問團隊
5️⃣ 參訓對象：各大專校院專任（案）英語教師或 EMI 教師

**Announcement: ESP Teacher Professional Development Certification Program**
The English for Specific Purposes (ESP) Teacher Professional Development Certification Program, jointly organized by the EMI Teaching Resource Center of National Taiwan University of Science and Technology (NTUST) and the Bilingual Learning Promotion Center of National Taipei University of Technology (NTUT), is now open for registration. We sincerely invite ESP and EMI instructors from all institutions to participate actively. We kindly request all relevant units to grant official leave and award professional development incentives in accordance with internal regulations.

**I. Program Overview**
To assist institutions in aligning with EMI (English as a Medium of Instruction) course requirements, it is recommended that ESP (English for Special Purposes) courses be offered in the first year of study. These courses should be designed in collaboration with the institution is English teaching units and academic departments to strengthen students i professional English proficiency and establish a solid linguistic foundation for EMI coursework.

The program is jointly organized by the EMI Teaching Resource Center of NTUST and NTUT, integrating international academic resources and expertise in ESP curriculum development. By combining ESP and EMI approaches, the program aims to enhance instructors i bilingual teaching capabilities. The following details are provided:

2. **Format:** Blended (Online + On-site)
3. **Venue:** Google Meet (Online) and National Taipei University of Technology (On-site for final presentations)
4. **Instructors:** Faculty from the Department of Applied English, NTUT, and Fulbright English Teaching Consultants

**III. Program Structure and Certification**
The program includes lectures, discussions, and teaching demonstrations. Participants who successfully complete the program will receive a certificate of professional development. Any adjustments to the program content will be communicated via the registration form and event schedule.

ESP is a key component of the Ministry of Education is initiative to promote bilingual learning in higher education institutions. We respectfully request all institutions to actively encourage and nominate ESP and EMI instructors to participate in this training program.
