一、本校EMI教學資源中心與美國德州大學奧斯汀分校(The University of Texas at Austin, UT Austin)合作辦理旨揭客製化EMI教師增能移地訓練課程,內容涵蓋觀摩 UT Austin 領域教師授課、工作坊、教案試教、回國後教案執行與成果追蹤。本課程著重於 EMI 課程設計之實務應用,透過課堂觀摩與實作並重之方式,協助教師發展 EMI 教案、落實課堂實踐,進而促進教學創新與專業成長。課程學費由本計畫全額支應。
二、培訓期程:115年7月11日(星期六)至 7月25日(星期六),共 15 天(美國中部時間)。
三、地點:美國德州大學奧斯汀分校。
四、實施對象:國內各大專院校EMI專任教師(含專案及約聘)。
五、申請期間:115年1月19日(星期一)至4月17日(星期五)止,採隨到隨審,額滿為止。
六、申請方式與應備文件:
(一)申請表中「推薦單位」欄位,應填列申請人所屬學院;各學院至多推薦一名EMI教師參與本課程。
(二)申請教師須經所屬學院及雙語主責單位推薦,並檢附推薦單位主管親自簽署及核章之正式推薦信一封。
(三)推薦信之推薦人,須與申請表中所填列之推薦單位主管一致,並由該主管完成申請表之簽名及核章(限學院院長或雙語主責單位主管),臺師大推薦人須為各學院院長。
(四)申請教師須於申請期間內,備齊下列資料並上傳至指定之線上申請表單,資料不齊全、未依規定完成推薦程序,或推薦單位不符者,恕不受理:
1、推薦信一封(載明推薦理由,須親筆簽名或核章)。
2、申請表一份(含切結書及同意書,須由推薦單位主管核章,並由申請人親自簽署)。
3、EMI課程大綱一份。
4、自述影片一則:影片長度以三分鐘為限,內容須以全英文說明申請動機、參與期待與個人目標,並由申請人本人親自出鏡錄製;凡使用AI生成、重製、合成或非本人錄製之影片,將不予審查。

This program is designed to provide participants with practical insights into EMI course design through classroom observation, workshops, lesson plan trials, and post-program implementation and follow-up. The curriculum emphasizes hands-on application, aiming to assist teachers in developing effective EMI lesson plans and fostering innovation and professional growth in teaching. Tuition fees for the program will be fully covered by this initiative.
**Program Duration:**
July 11 (Saturday) to July 25 (Saturday), 2026 (15 days, Central Time, USA).
**Location:**
The University of Texas at Austin.
**Eligibility:**
Full-time EMI instructors from higher education institutions in Taiwan (including project-based and contract appointments).
**Application Period:**
From January 19 (Monday) to April 17 (Friday), 2026. Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis until the program is full.
**Application Process and Required Documents:**
1. In the "Recommending Unit" section of the application form, applicants must specify their respective college. Each college may recommend up to one EMI instructor for this program.
2. Applicants must obtain a formal letter of recommendation from their respective college and the bilingual affairs unit, signed and stamped by the head of the recommending unit.
3. The recommender listed on the recommendation letter must match the recommender specified on the application form. The recommender must also sign and stamp the application form (limited to college deans or heads of bilingual affairs units). For applicants from National Taiwan Normal University, the recommender must be the dean of the respective college.
4. Applicants must submit all required documents online during the application period. Incomplete submissions, failure to follow the recommendation procedure, or recommendations from ineligible units will result in disqualification:
- One recommendation letter (stating the reasons for recommendation, signed or stamped by hand).
- One completed application form (including a statement of commitment and consent form, stamped by the head of the recommending unit and signed by the applicant).
- One EMI course outline.
- A self-introduction video (maximum three minutes, in English only). The video must be personally recorded by the applicant, explaining their motivation for applying, expectations from participation, and personal goals. Videos generated by AI, copied, synthesized, or not personally recorded will not be reviewed.
