各位親愛的同學們大家好：
我是慈濟大學華語教學學程召集人何昆益，同時也是歷年來華語學程海外華語志工團隊（2013年迄今）的指導老師。首先，非常感謝同學們對華語團的厚愛，謝謝大家對於2026慈大海外華語教育團（北美團）的熱烈支持，為了及早回覆同學們、同學們也可以更早地做好出國的準備，我們已經在12/22下午發信件給通過第一階段海選的20位同學；由於有六十多位同學繳交報名表，而且大部分同學的資歷都相當精彩、非常的優秀，我們很想全部錄取，但是在有限的名額之下，我們委員會三位師長委員們反覆討論之後，做出了這個最沉痛的決定。
由於這是華語教學學程舉辦的海外華語教育團隊，因此優先揀擇有執行過相關活動、有意願參與、正在修習或修習完畢的同學，因此這個階段我們除了依照同學填寫報名表的積極度以及詳盡程度之外，我們更考量到同學們是否有積極的意願修習華語教學學程。
若是同學你的大名沒有在這次的名單當中，請同學千萬不要覺得灰心與難過，緣起不滅！下學期開始歡迎你來修習華語學程的課程，讓我們可以有更多互動與交流，再次邀請你來申請華語教學學程，加入我們的行列，未來的暑假，我們將持續辦理海外華語教育團，期待你再次參與，若是未來同學填寫報名表，請記得在空白處加上自己的備注「我曾經參加2026華語教學團（北美團）的海選」，並且希望在那個時候你已經開始選修學程相關課程，到時候我們肯定會特別留意。

Dear Students,
Greetings from the Coordinator of the Chinese Language Teaching Program at Tzu Chi University, Dr. Ho Kun-Yi. I am also the supervisor of the Overseas Chinese Language Volunteer Team for the past decade (since 2013). First and foremost, I would like to express my sincere gratitude for your continued support and enthusiasm for the 2026 Tzu Chi Overseas Chinese Language Education Team (North America Group). In order to provide you with an early response and allow you ample time to prepare for your international journey, we have already sent out notifications to the 20 students who successfully passed the first round of selection on December 22nd.
Given that over sixty students submitted their applications, and considering the impressive qualifications and outstanding backgrounds of most applicants, our committee deeply regrets that we cannot admit everyone. After careful deliberation among our three faculty members, we have made this difficult decision.
As this is an overseas Chinese language education initiative organized by the Chinese Language Teaching Program, priority was given to students who have participated in related activities, expressed a strong willingness to join, or are currently enrolled in or have completed courses within this program. In addition to evaluating the enthusiasm and thoroughness of your application forms, we also considered your commitment to pursuing studies in the Chinese Language Teaching Program.
If your name does not appear on this list, please do not be discouraged or disheartened. Opportunities will arise again! Starting from next semester, we warmly invite you to enroll in courses offered by our program so that we can continue to interact and exchange ideas. We sincerely encourage you to reapply for the Chinese Language Teaching Program and join our team in the future. We will continue to organize overseas Chinese language education teams during future summers and look forward to your participation once again. Should you apply in the future, please remember to note in your application: "I participated in the preliminary selection for the 2026 Overseas Chinese Language Education Team (North America Group)." We will certainly give special consideration if you have already begun taking relevant courses by then.
