各位師長、同仁您好：
為因應資訊科技發展與資安防護需求，舊慈大郵件伺服器mail.tcu.edu.tw自建置以來已逾二十年，因硬體設備及系統軟體老舊，無法進行升級，對於新應用軟體支援度不佳，且存在資安疑慮及隨時可能發生故障之風險。為確保校務運作順利與資訊安全，經評估後，預計於2025年12月31日關閉並停止舊郵件系統服務。屆時將無法再存取舊伺服器郵件，郵件收發將改由新郵件伺服器mail2.tcu.edu.tw提供服務。
為協助同仁妥善保存舊郵件伺服器上的信件，請參考以下網頁PDF說明檔設定備份郵件，或聯繫電算中心-資訊網路組協助處理：

作業時程及申請方式如下：
1. 舊郵件伺服器關閉日期：2025年12月31日
2. 舊郵件備份作業請於關閉日前完成
3. 申請協助或諮詢請聯繫電算中心-資訊網路組
注意事項：
1. 關閉後將無法再存取舊伺服器郵件，請務必於期限前完成備份。
2. 新舊郵件伺服器切換期間如有異常，請即時聯繫電算中心。

Dear Faculty and Staff,
The old mail.tcu.edu.tw email server, which has been in service for over 20 years, is being decommissioned due to outdated hardware and software. It is no longer possible to upgrade the system, and it lacks support for new applications. Additionally, there are ongoing security concerns and a risk of potential failures. Therefore, the old email system will be shut down and discontinued onDecember 31, 2025. After this date, access to emails stored on the old server will no longer be possible. Email services will then be provided by the new mail2.tcu.edu.twemail server.
If you need to preserve emails stored on the old server, please refer to the PDF instructions available on the following webpage for setting up email backups or contact the Computer Center for assistance. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.
