If you are interested in applying to become a Teaching Assistant (TA) for the 114-1 semester, please review the following information.
⭐ Required training must be completed in order for first-time TAs to qualify.
⭐ If you have already obtained the TA certification from the Division of Faculty Development(DFD)-Center for Teaching and Learning Resource(CTLR), it remains valid until you leave the university.
🔹 1. TA Qualification Requirements
To serve as a TA, you must meet one of the following qualifications and must not be enrolled in the course you assist:
● Master’s or Ph.D. student
● Student in a two-year technical program
● Undergraduate student in year two or above
● Student in a three-year junior college program, year three or above
🔹 2. Approved TA Working Hours
The total working hours must follow the approval by the Center for Teaching and Learning Resource.
⚠️ Please note that the reported hours must not exceed the approved working hours.
🔹 3. Required Steps to Qualify as a TA
● Choose one of the TA training sessions offered by the CTLR (required only once during your studies):

● Occupational Safety and Health Training
– 6 hours required for experimental course TAs
– 3 hours required for general course TAs

🔹 4. TA System and Work Hour Submission
● TAs must pre-fill and submit their work records in the TA system by 2:00 PM on the day of work.
