 主  旨  📢 [Up to NT$30,000 Incentive] 114-1 Course Enhancement Program Now Open for Applications

Dear Teachers,

To support students in transitioning to EMI courses, we are launching the 'Existing Course Enhancement Subsidy Program', encouraging faculty members to integrate EAP (English for Academic Purposes) or ESP (English for Specific Purposes) into their current courses. This initiative aims to strengthen students’ academic and professional English application skills.

Once your course has been enhanced and successfully launched, you may apply for the following subsidies:

✅ Eligibility
Full-time faculty members planning to incorporate EAP or ESP content into existing courses.

✅ Subsidy Details
•After successfully offering the course, you may apply for funding (up to NT$25,000 per course) to support expenses such as hiring teaching assistants or acquiring teaching resources. Each instructor may apply for a maximum of two courses.
•Upon course completion and submission of results, you may apply for an additional NT$5,000 reward.

🎯 Definition of Enhanced Course
•At least one-third of the course content must integrate EAP or ESP.
•Please refer to the attached guidelines for detailed application requirements.

Submit the application form by June 30, 2025 (114/6/30).

🎯 Introduction to EAP/ESP
•EAP (English for Academic Purposes): Focuses on developing English communication skills for academic settings, preparing students for success in EMI courses.
•ESP (English for Specific Purposes): Aims to enhance English proficiency in specific professional fields by combining workplace practices with learner autonomy.

👉 Examples of currently offered courses include:
•English of medical terminology
•Professional English Reading for Physical Therapy
•Health medical Terminology
