On 12th May (Sunday), Tzu Chi will hold its first Global Buddha Bathing Day, which coincides with Mother’s Day, Buddha Day and Tzu Chi Day. This year is Tzu Chi’s 58th Anniversary, we invite all students and staffs, as well as the public to participate in the ceremony. The ceremony will be solemn and dignified.
Since the 7.2 magnitude earthquake on April 3, there have been about 800 times of aftershocks, including many with magnitude above 5. National-level sirens are heard from time to time every day, making everyone frightened and uneasy. The strong earthquake left countless scars on the lush green mountains. The shocking education of nature makes us feel how fragile life is. We have survived these waves of earthquakes safely, we need to be grateful and pray that the affected folks can overcome the suffering as soon as possible.
We sincerely invite you to join the Buddha Bathing Ceremony with the most sincere and respectful heart, wash away the ignorance and troubles in your heart, return to the pure and innocent heart, and pray that your sincere voice can gather blessings and eliminate disasters. At the same time, in this gathering of people, through the power of resonating good thoughts, we pray for our parents.
1.Event time : May 12th, 2024 (Sunday) 06:00am-08:00am
2.General rehearsal time : May 11th, 2024 (Saturday) 04:00pm-06:00pm
3.Event location : Jing Si Hall Dao Lu Square
4.Participants : All staffs and students
5.Dress code : Summer formal uniform. For those who does not have formal uniform, kindly wear white tops with black or dark blue long pants.
6.Remarks :
- Transportation will be provided for staffs and students from Jieren Campus on May 12th, kindly remark for your needs while registering for the event.
Departure : 05:10am Jieren Campus to Main Campus
Return : 08:30am Main Campus to Jieren Campus
- Breakfast will be provided on May 12th (Sunday), after the event.
- Participants must participate in the general rehearsal and register online.
- Registration method : Register via the School Affairs Administration System before May 6th (Monday).
