UWE位於英國西南部的第一大城-布里斯托市(Bristol) ，英國大學聯盟(University Alliance)成員之一，目前有4個主要校區 Frenchay(主校區)、Bower Ashton、St Matthias及Glenside，學生總人數超過30,000名，3,500名教職人員，國際學生約有3,000名，來自全球140多個國家，是英格蘭西南部最具規模的大學，更是布里斯托當地學生人數最多、發展最為蓬勃、最受國際學生歡迎的大學，並且與知名企業保持密切聯繫，提供學生實習的機會，有完整的Gradlink、Student Enterprise、Peer Assistant Learning (PAL)協助學生就業。
