To all those concerned:
Next Friday’s (May 1st) Labor Day will kick start a 3-day holiday, which means tourists from other counties and cities may be coming to Hualien. To ensure that our students and the school as a whole is able to avoid coming in contact and spreading COVID-19, we are requesting that all students avoid working or going to high-risk areas such as hostels, hotels, restaurants, supermarkets, or department stores, etc. For everyone’s safety and health, we urge students to avoid taking up any temporary work during the 3-day holiday and to understand the good intentions of the school. Let us work together to create a peaceful, coronavirus-free campus. Thank you all for your cooperation!
For those with financial difficulties arising from the inability to work during the Labor Day extended holiday, native students should contact the Humanities Office, while international students should contact OIA to apply for subsidies that will be adjusted according to each student’s situation.
Note 1: Please fill in the relevant application forms to the Humanities department or OIA before 5/1. This subsidy is limited to financial assistance for those who cannot work during the Labor Day long holiday.
Note 2: Native students who wish to apply must provide their family income (This information can be given after application). International students should ask OIA for eligibility.
