國科會人文社會科學研究中心執行「臺灣人文及社會科學期刊評比暨核心期刊收錄」已行之多年，期以服務學界，促進學術與期刊水準之提升，迄今已收錄近200種核心期刊（THCI、TSSCI）。
為使我國人社期刊更有契機進軍國際引文資料庫，提升國際能見度，國科會人文社會科學研究中心將在原有「期刊評比評量標準」中納入部分與國際標準接軌的相關元素，新的計分項與加分項目將於2029年起正式適用（回溯計分範圍為2026年起出版刊物），請詳參中心網頁「2029年適用評量標準」說明。
