【Dormitory affairs】2021 winter vacation dormitory application and payment application rules.

A. Dormitory-related important dates:
1. The end of the first semester of all student dormitories: January 24 at 12 pm.
2. Winter vacation accommodation starts from January 24 to 12 pm on February 11.
3. The second-semester dormitory accommodation will start at 12 pm on February 11.

B. Criteria
1. Online application (including paper application): From January 10 to January 14 at 12 pm.
2. Payment time: January 10 to January 14 at 12 pm.
3. No accommodation during the Chinese New Year: January 28 to February 7 at 12 pm(Dormitory closed).
4. Accommodation for international students on the main campus during the Chinese New Year: January 28 at 12 noon to February 7 at 12 noon.

C. Accommodation qualifications
1. Personal application –Overseas student who has not returned to their home country. (Verification needed from OIA).
2. Personal application – Those who work under Tzu Chi Foundation (Verification needed from Student Affairs).
3. Personal application – Those who participate in an experiment (Verification from the department).
4. Group application – Those who participate in an activity from club/team/training camp (Verification needed from Student Affairs).
5. Group application – Internship (Verification from the department)
6. Personal application – Other reasons (Verification needed from Student Affairs).

D. Procedure for group application
1. Apply online via Myinfo with the time and the reason stated.
2. The group leader needs to fill out the group application and payment confirmation form. Applicant must submit the Parental Consent Form to a group leader.(No need to fill out personal forms)
3. After verified from related affairs/department, submit the filled out form to Life Guidance Division.
4. The group leader settles the payment at Cashier Division.
5. Assign a bed.

E. Procedure for personal application.
1. Apply online via Myinfo with the time and reason stated. (submit the paper application at the same time).
2. Verify with related affairs/department.
3. Submit Verification Form and Parental Consent Form to Life Guidance Division.
4. Make payment at Cashier Division.
5. Assign a bed.

F. Important notes
1. If the applicant has deducted 60 points or does not have a residence this school year, the applicant does not meet the accommodation requirements. Late applications will not be accepted.
2. The applicant who failed to finish the procedure or payment will automatically cancel the application. If the applicant still needs to apply for accommodation, the applicant will apply under the special case and receive 10 points penalty.
3. Students who live in a dormitory without permission, need to pay the amount of the dormitory fee based on the number of days and receive 20 points penalty.

G. How to apply
1. Type your login to https://myinfo.tcu.edu.tw/ (service menu > 學務 > 寒暑假留宿申請).
2. Download the application form and parental consent form.
3. Fill out the form, verify with your department and advisor, and submit it to Life Guidance Section.
4. Fee Payment.

H. Other(s)
1. If your application isn’t approved, please re-submit it during the application period.
2. If you don’t pay during the payment period, your application will be automatically canceled.
3. You will get 10 points penalty if you apply beyond the application period.
4. If you stay in the dorm without application, you will need to pay the amount of the dormitory fee based on the number of days and get 20 points penalty.
