This program is being organized with the motive that the applicants shall experience and learn about Japanese Buddhism and Kyoto, while they actually reside in the ancient capital. Applicants will attend classes conducted by the faculty of Bukkyo University which will enable them to experience Japanese Buddhism first hand.
Date: 2018/08/01-08/10
Venue: Murasakino Campus, Bukkyo University
Number of applicants: 20 persons(first come first served basis)
Registration: untill 15th of May, 2018.
Lecture: Japanese Buddhism, Japanese Culture, Japanese Literature, etc.
Optional classes: Tea ceremony, Wearing Kimono, Calligraphy, Flower arrangement.
Field tours shall be conducted to Chionin Temple(half day), Enryakuji temple, Hieizan(half day), Fushimiinari shrine(half day).
Accommodation: Private room(Japanese style room of 6 tatami mats), Bath(communal).
Fees: 120,000 Yen
1. 2 meals(breakfast and dinner) included.
2. Pickup service from Kansai Airport to Kyoto(to and from).
*The expenses do not include Overseas travel expenses, Overseas Insurance and Travel expenses incurred personally. It is compulsory for all applicants to personally purchase an overseas insurance policy prior to the commencement of this program.
*Kindly make the required payment in Cash to the Center for International Affairs after arrival in Kyoto.
