The Academia Sinica, in collaboration with the European Molecular Biology Organization (EMBO), is pleased to announce an academic training program titled "Writing Successful Fellowship Applications," scheduled to take place from October 12 to 15, 2026. We kindly request your assistance in informing senior doctoral students and newly appointed postdoctoral researchers about this opportunity and encouraging their participation.
**Program Details:**
1. The course will be held from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM daily. For a detailed schedule, please refer to the attached flyer and the official website.
2. The program aims to assist young researchers in understanding and mastering the application process for various research fellowships. The curriculum covers essential topics such as communicating with laboratory supervisors, assessing eligibility, practical workshops on drafting application documents, and decision-making after results are announced. This is designed to enhance the likelihood of successful applications. Key participation requirements are as follows:
- The entire course will be conducted in English and will adopt an interactive teaching approach.
- Participants are required to attend all sessions and submit a mock application document prior to the course. Unexcused absences will result in disqualification from future training programs offered by the Academia Sinica.
- Priority will be given to senior doctoral students (in their final 2 to 3 years of study) and newly appointed postdoctoral researchers (within two years of obtaining their doctoral degree).
- The program is limited to 20 participants, with the application deadline set for September 13, 2026 (Friday). Selection will be based on the eligibility criteria established by the instructors, but the Academia Sinica reserves the right to make the final decision on participant allocation and acceptance.
