尼泊爾近日遭遇極端氣候引發的嚴重洪水與土石流，數萬人家園破碎。慈濟基金會已於第一時間成立災害應變小組，志工於當地間8/28日凌晨4:30冒雨出發，兵分三路挺進達丁縣、藍毗尼、奇特旺等重災區，並前往加德滿都醫院慰問傷患。災區道路受阻、物資匱乏，慈濟基金會已經啟動專案救助機制，協助傷患及生活陷入困境的受災戶，以及罹難者的家屬或滯留的外籍觀光客，同時配合當地政府需求，投入醫療救援與災後復原相關工作，並持續密切掌握各地狀況，評估民眾生活所需，提供適時資助，同時陪伴受災家庭重建生活。
證嚴上人開示：｢現在天下間，氣候不調，人心動盪不安，這時人人需要勤精進，慎勿放逸，祈禱天下平安、四大調和。並打從內心、真誠地祈禱，為天下祈求平安，人心調和，慎勿放逸。現在更需要愛的能量會合，用這分真誠的愛，和合協力來付出。」

Dear Faculty and Staff,
Flash floods and landslides have devastated communities across Nepal, blocking roads and leaving affected families in urgent need of daily necessities, medical care, and support for recovery.
Your support can help deliver relief supplies, medical assistance, and essential aid more quickly to those who need them most, accompanying families as they take each step toward recovery.
Join us in supporting Nepal is disaster relief efforts. Together, we can help bring care and hope to where they are needed most.
Methods to donate to the Tzu Chi Foundation:
- **Salary Deduction Donation**: Please access your personal campus system and fill out the project donation form. Donations will be deducted directly from your salary, with the amount to be specified at your discretion. The deadline for salary deduction donations for September is September 11th at 5:00 PM. (Receipts will be issued to the address on file with the Human Resources Department.)
- **Cash Donation**: You may make cash donations directly to Ms. Kuo at the Central Campus, or to Ms. Tsai at the Jianguo and Jieren Campuses.
